Meet Our Keynote Speaker

Jordyn Zimmerman is a nationally recognized educator and disability advocate whose work centers on access to effective communication and inclusive communities. After gaining access to augmentative communication at age 18, Jordyn has become a powerful voice for disability rights and accessibility, sharing her story and expertise on stages and platforms across the country, including CBS Mornings. We're excited to have her at the 2026 Autism Connecting Conference for Moms.

Autism Caring Center staff act as advocates to promote inclusion and best practices. Staff accompany parents and individuals at IEP meetings, court proceedings and meetings in other community settings such as employment meetings.

 Family activities are held at various locations, throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania. Our goal is to bring families together to socialize and share experiences. Events are offered for participation of all age groups and are often free of charge.

Training

 Autism training is offered to schools, businesses and community groups who request this service. Training is performed by the staff of the Autism Caring Center. This training increases awareness and knowledge of the participants and enables them to better respond to the needs of the autism community.
